Habitat management

We offer advice and devise habitat management and habitat creation plans to suit a variety of different projects, ranging from protected species mitigation to the conservation of priority habitats and/or priority species. Alongside landscape designers, we assist with the drawing up of Biodiversity Management Plans as part of enhancements for larger developments.

We have been involved in the management of a number of designated and non-designated sites. Typically these have focused on conserving and improving woodland, grassland, wetland and upland habitats for an array of different flora and fauna species.

If necessary, we can also advise on site native species planting and other appropriate biodiversity enhancement measures that may be required for inclusion within development related landscaping proposals.

Previous work has included setting up and monitoring of nest tubes for Dormouse to inform coppice management, also reptile and Great Crested Newt surveys to identify key areas to inform heathland management.
